What do a 6 year old with his own lemonade stand, a high schooler with a jewelry business, an original wave Punk Rocker, a University of Calgary English major with a minor in Eastern Religious studies, a stage actor, a Spoken Word pioneer, a homeless man, an art gallery Director and a 25+ year veteran in the entertainment
industry as a Production Manager, Technical Director, Stage Manager and Production Designer have in common? They are all one in the same!

From the time he was a little boy he knew the pathway to his dreams and desires was going to come through living a variety of experiences. He began his entrepreneurship at the age of 6 with his own lemonade stand. This was followed by his own jewelry business in high school.

From his outward clean cut, professional  appearance one would never guess that he was one of the original wave of Punks. It just seems so unlikely! That is exactly what makes Tee Crane so unique. He refused to be locked, stuffed or kept in a box labelled “socially acceptable.”

What does one expect from a University of Calgary English major with a minor in Eastern Religious studies? Would you expect them to jump into the entertainment industry? Surely as a performer, but perhaps not so much behind the scenes.

The list of credits under his belt is a long one, from performing in bands as a singer, to being in videos on Canadian MTV. Behind the scenes he has worked with some of the hottest A-List celebrities and world
renowned artists including:

• Comic sensation Chris Rock
• The soul-stirring Lionel Richie
• …and so many more.

But for as incredible as all of these achievements are…there was a time when things
weren’t so great.

Illness took hold of Tee and life changed on a dime. During this time he began to search for teachers. He studied as much as he could under as many teachers as he could. Something miraculous happened. He received his calling. Though the entertainment world was a fun, exciting, wonderful lifestyle, something was out of sync.

In his search for knowledge, Tee discovered his calling was to teach. But once the call came, another roadblock shook him to his core. He suddenly found himself homeless and broke. This kind of breakdown would be too much for most. But he learned from all of his studies that this was just another point in time, a point in his life. He would look at it and say, “It’s only temporary.” So he picked himself up, hiked up his bootstraps, put his nose to the grindstone and started to teach. In just a few years – with absolutely no money – he built a thriving business.

From homeless, ill and broke to healthy, vibrant and thriving…through thick and thin, high achievement and adversity, Tee says this:

“I love my life Immensely and am here to serve. My hope is that through my stumbles, tumbles and bruises…I can help guide others out of treacherous places as well as celebrate those who have not had to go through those dark valleys.”
